Ashe Dashiki | Perhaps one of our last Dashiki designs this one is dedicated to tennis icon and HIV activist Arthur Ashe. He was the first person of African heritage to win Wimbledon. This Dashiki comes for kids and adults, the adult one is more complex than the kid version. Comes in black but you can get it in white also (just request it after ordering). For kids sizes use Small and email us details after ordering.

In redesigning the classic dashiki of the 60's we had one additional design consideration, to transform it from a casual top to a formal one while retaining all that gave it its identity. We asked ourselves what was necessary to make it a premium occasion top, and went about adding everything we know to be premium, starting with high-end West African zigzag embroidery, formal cuffs back yoke, and a welt or outside pocket.

Arthur Ashe said "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."
This is the Ocacia approach.
Arthur Robert Ashe Jr. (July 10, 1943 – February 6, 1993) was an American professional tennis player who won three Grand Slam singles titles. He started to play tennis at six years old. He was the only man of African heritage to win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open.
