Diakhou Bâ To honor the epic non-passive Jihadist Maba Diakhou Bâ of Senegal who fought against colonialism.

Made from a new beautiful and extinct Ghanian kente against a beautiful navy blue organic linen. It is stunning and comfortable. The collar in the photo was made large, but we will make a standard collar unless you ask us to make it oversized. Accents of Kente continue on the sleeve and make up our standard-shaped jetted pocket. You are free to substitute this Kente accent for any you have seen elsewhere on our site.

The blue Kente is extinct which is our way of saying it is no longer in production or on sale. We have the last of it, so when this print is gone it is gone. It means in lay terms this topic is extremely exclusive. You might be the only person in your city or country with this top.

Did you know: Maba Diakhou Bâ was born in Senegal. (1809 – July 1867), also known as Ma Ba Diakhu, he was a Muslim leader in West Africa (who trace their lineage to Umar Tall) during the 19th century and was an early "Pan-Africanist" who strived for unity to defeat French expansion. Born in Rip, Maba and was a disciple of the Tijaniyya Sufi brotherhood and became the Almami of Saloum. One of the Fulani jihad leaders of this period in history he founded the city of Nioro du Rip. He was noted for his conquest of the Serer people and for expanding Islam in the region.
