You can customize the embroidery color you want from the selection. You can customize your sleeves and even add a collar and cuffs. This BHM comes in a ladies and men's version, made out of a lightweight dark linen (blue or black) with a beautiful masterfully designed standard African style. But we have added premium Sheriba rope on the outside and complex rice-embroidery work on the inside. This carries over to the sleeves. And have also included a small detail on the back yoke.
Did you know BHM is supposed to reconnect the African Diaspora with their heritage? Unfortunately, the month has been in decline with less interest in Africa. It seems that because the month is called Black history it starts in Slavery and ends with Obama leaving office. Had it been called African History month it would have not started in slavery but in Africa, and celebrated Ancient Egypt, Islamic West Africa, Ancient Ethiopia, Great Zimbabwe on and on.
