We can even make it for ladies. It comes with a placket made from bazin, and sleeves and the back made from ramie linen. The pocket and collar are optional.

A lot of design work went into how we came about this design avoiding obvious design choices and going for something different. the Kente stripes create symmetry which is echoed by the kente Chinese collar. Diaspora| We are the African Diaspora and that says way more about us than saying we are black people. Juneteenth | To commemorate the emancipation from slavery of African Americans. In 2021, Juneteenth became the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was adopted in 1983. And when we think of Juneteenth we think of red, and this top is made from some beautiful crease-free red linen decorated with beautiful authentic shwe-shwe from South Africa.
